Michigan Paving and Materials employee, Vicky Masserant has been involved with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life since 2010. This event, as well as many other events, holds dear to her heart as her sister in law is a cancer survivor! In 2010, her sister in law ran the Angels of Hope & Love team in Monroe and Vicky joined and has been a part of the team ever since. Each year, it is not only the Relay for Life event that the Angels of Hope & Love hold a fundraiser for, there are 12 other fundraisers; casino trips, euchre tournaments, trivia nights, craft shows and corn hole tournaments and more that they raise money for the cause.
The yearly 12-hour event was held on Saturday, June 4th at the Monroe County Fair Grounds where all the Monroe County teams came together to celebrate the survivors and remember those we have lost to the disease.
Every year we as a company are proud to support Vicky and her team! She states; “I enjoy being a part of the team knowing we are making a difference in the fight against cancer.”
